National charity, Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE) has issued new information to help village halls make sense of the latest announcements about the lifting of national lockdown restrictions. Local Connections Fund

Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and the The National Lottery Community Fund are investing £2 million pounds each into the new Local Connections Fund. It will be used to fund hundreds of ‘microgrants’ of between £300 and £2500, so that small local organisations – with an annual income of £50,000 or less, can Local Connections Fund

Energy Crisis Fund – Voucher Scheme

The Energy Voucher Scheme is funded by the Energy Saving Trust via the Energy Crisis fund. Galloway Hall Re-Opening

The documents detail eligibility for support from the Government for village and similar rural community buildings. Pukar Disability Resource Centre

Recently, Community Futures Chairman Peter Taylor was invited to the Pukar Disability Resource Centre in Preston as a thank you for his help in writing their first Lottery bid in 1996 and recently assisting them with a grant through the Duchy Fund. National Story Telling Week

Funding available for local good causes

Good causes in Preston can apply for up to £20,000 of funding from one of three grant-giving trusts, funded by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. Cool Kidz @ Roebuck were rated ‘OUTSTANDING’ in a recent inspection by Ofsted! New Charity Finds It’s Feet

Grimsargh Wetlands Trust is a new charity that was recently set up with the guidance and support of Community Futures. The trust is responsible for maintaining and protecting a biological heritage site and its flora and fauna, and is now bidding for funds for improvements such as new pathways, hides, a ramp area, viewing point New Charity Finds It’s Feet

Staff Bowling 2018

On Friday 7th December Community Futures held a staff social event for all employees to take part in a bowling tournament as an end of the year get together.
