“I’ve known this area all my life and stayed closely connected for the past seven years. Through regular visits, I’ve grown to really appreciate the strong community spirit and the friendly, peaceful, picturesque feel of the villages.
Working in rural areas showed me how much small acts of support can mean, especially for older people living alone. I enjoy helping people and using my local knowledge to guide them. A standout moment was helping an elderly gentleman access benefits he didn’t know he was entitled to, allowing him to stay independent.
I love spending time with my family, as well as walking and wild water swimming. I also enjoy the local traditions like the Charnock Richard Scarecrow Festival.”
