It is with deep regret we announce the sad news that Mr Harry Leslie Yeadon died on 8th February 2015. His health had been declining rapidly since the New Year and he died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 92.
Harry served Community Futures for many years as a trustee and Vice President. Chairman Peter Taylor said, “Harry served and supported Community Futures for very many years and his experience and detailed knowledge of the County gained from his service as County Surveyor and Bridgemaster proved invaluable. He leaves a tangible legacy in the form of the County’s road network and especially the Preston Bypass now the M6, but we at Community Futures will remember him as a true gentleman whose courtesy, wise counsel and humour proved an asset to the organisation for decades. We send our deepest love and condolences to Sybil and family.”
