Cancer Awareness

We’re pleased to share that we have successfully recieved funding from the Lancashire & South Cumbria ICB Cancer Alliance VCFSE Small Grants Scheme, delivered in partnership with Spring North.

This support will enable us to make a meaningful difference to cancer awareness, screening participation, and early diagnosis within our community.

We know that many people experience uncertainty or hesitation when it comes to recognising symptoms or seeking help. To address this, we will be engaging directly with our community through informal conversations, creating safe and welcoming spaces for people to share experiences and ask questions. As part of the project, we will also be inviting health experts to join our community sessions, offering friendly, approachable talks that encourage people to seek timely medical advice and understand the importance of early detection.

We’re helping people to feel comfortable asking questions and seeking advice early.
