Developing and sustaining community life.
Community Futures aims to develop and support balanced and sustainable communities throughout Lancashire.
The name of the charity is Community Council of Lancashire but known to stakeholders as Community Futures. It is a Company Limited by Guarantee and a registered charity that has been actively supporting people and communities since 1934.

Working across the whole county, we support, and empower people in a number of ways;
- Working with people in rural communities to find solutions to improve their way of life. This could be helping to apply for grant funding, accessing peer support or training, carrying out consultation or connecting with local partners to share resources, ideas and skills.
- Advocating locally and nationally for rural communities that are disadvantaged because of sparsity, poverty or poor access to service.
- Providing community led, responsive services to families and children, including pre and out of school care and one-to-one advice services to parents and carers.
- Delivering projects that support rural life opportunities and access to services.
- Facilitating activity that brings people together to support the sustainability and value of the VCFSE in Lancashire through partnership working.
Head Office for Community Futures is Brentwood House in Fulwood, Preston, where we provide accommodation for groups and organisations, hold trustee and team meetings and manage resources.
